Cardio Art by JoseV

Cardioart is an exciting line of rhythms of the heart mixed with contemporary styles and designs. JoseV's inspiration came from his line of work as a Telemetry Technician, the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, and the Heart Center of the Cleveland Clinic.

Pursuing a career in art has always been a lifelong dream and passion for Jose, but he never pursued it till now due to life's demanding schedule. He has always enjoyed and participated in the arts: dancing, music, and painting. He pondered what genre might draw public interest to his work. His dream is to build a collection of cardio rhythmic Guitars. The combination of cardio rhythmns and the soul of rock-n-roll.

Jose's (aka Jose'V) goals include encouranging heart healthy activities, bettering the community, and inspiring children and the medical world by teaching and sharing his art.

Cardioart Techniques and Methods

Most of JoseV's art is created on canvas. Some, as in his original piece "Slow Death" pictured here , was created on copy paper with ink pens and "Sharpies". Other media JoseV uses includes acrylic, water and oil based paints, indian ink, heavy gel, foam, and caulk. Many pieces have also been enhanced with sand, sea shells, glitter, rhinestones and sequins. Random pieces of art include colorful hearts with various electro-cardiographic rhythms, faces, his "Rhythmic Guitar" line and various abstract pieces. JoseV has had no formal art training. He has always enjoyed drawing in his spare time and has a natural talent for combining color schemes and designs. It wasn't until he created this drawing in the summer of 2006 that he was encouraged to take his art seriously.
